We know that visiting the dentist can be an unpleasant experience for some people, even though at Vitality we work hard to alleviate fear and anxiety. In fact, it’s thought that around 13 per cent of the UK population avoid going to the dentist because of fear and anxiety. But despite our professional, caring and friendly approach, we appreciate that sometimes patients simply aren’t able to overcome their nerves without a little help.
Sedation is administered at our dental practice in Pulborough West Sussex, meaning your full treatment can be carried out at our relaxed facility, without the need for a hospital visit and with our experienced team, whom you will have already met prior to your treatment.
Sedation for Dental Treatment – what to expect
When you arrive for your treatment at Vitality, our visiting anaesthetist will very easily and safely ensure that you are in a semi-conscious state whilst our clinicians concentrate on carrying out your treatment. The sedation will make you feel calm and comfortable and once you come round you will remember very little of the procedure. You will then be allowed to go home on the same day.
You may be sedated for a range of treatments, including fillings, hygiene treatments, advanced periodontal treatment, crowns, veneers and implants.
